Approval of conditions on a planning permission
Planning permission can be subject to conditions which may require details of a specified aspect of the development which was not fully described in the original application.
These conditions require submission for approval, which must be granted before development can begin. An application for approval of details reserved by a condition is not an application for planning permission or listed building consent.
There are no national requirements for applications for the approval of conditions, however, some authorities may have specific requirements that necessitate the provision of certain information or supporting documents.
It will be usual for applicants to supply a site location plan and plans of the proposed work (even though these will often already have been submitted as part of the approved application to which the conditions requiring approval relate).
The relevant authority should determine them within 8 weeks of the application being validated.
